Maddy and Jethro were always planning to get married on December 5th 2020. As the second wave hit Melbourne and the months passed without restrictions easing, this Melbourne couple found themselves just inside the boundary line unsure as to whether the ‘ring of steel’ would allow them to travel to regional Victoria on their wedding date. They eventually managed to go ahead with a small scaled back celebration with around 25 of their closest family and friends. A week before their date restrictions changed again and they could technically have thrown their big wedding- but by this stage it was too short notice to change plans once again. What a rollercoaster situation!

On the date of their wedding the unpredictable Otways weather did not disappoint and torrential rain hit throwing yet another obstacle in the way of their plans. Thankfully we had managed to organise a ‘Yurt’ from Twilight Glamping and this really did save the day with a beautiful set up and cover for their ceremony.

Afterwards the rain stopped and we had the most beautiful light for their photographs in the grounds of Cape Cottages and it really was the most magical afternoon.

Congrats to a lovely couple who defied the odds and threw an incredible celebration xx
